This is one of the limited sedition (8) giclee prints. is a study in shifting identities. The background is created thanks to the experience with a reflective, metallic fabric; I capture the surface in motion, and it changes with the light and the viewer's perspective, mirroring the fluid nature of how we see ourselves and others.
The geometric, fragmented figures are inspired by the memory of old friends from my university integration year. Rendered in a broken cubist style, their forms represent the struggle and process of assimilation; the way we are fractured and reassembled when adapting to a new environment.
